The Journey
From first sketch to a body of work
Ismaiel trained as an architect with a conviction that has never left him: good architecture in Dhaka must begin with orientation, structure, daylight, and ventilation long before style is chosen. He founded Ecowave to put that belief into practice.
Over 15+ years, he has led the studio across homes, offices, restaurants, and showrooms, staying hands-on from concept through construction. The practice stays architect-led so the core idea carries through to details on site.
He is a member of IAB and IDAB and champions a quietly sustainable approach: passive cooling, daylight, and durable climate-appropriate materials that reduce long-term operating cost.
